Some other tools like Grist allow a formula column to be written in a programming language (Python in the case of Grist).
That is a game changer as it allows more complex querying thought data, treating more complex transformations and accomplish pretty much anything.

‘because Teable is in JS/TS it could make sense to allow writing in these languages besides the excel-like language that is implemented.

is that something that would be feasible in Teable at all?

I'm thrilled to see a roadmap tag on this feature!
My daily life is a heavy usage of ApiTable (because of UX, views, grouping and multi views) and Grist (because of Widgets and programming language), both open source, and I see Teable as a potential replacement for the 2 of them.
