What happened?

I don't know why but installing python on my PC is proving abortive, and can't reset my PC

CPython versions tested on:

3.9, 3.13

Operating systems tested on:

Windows

Output from running 'python -VV' on the command line:

No response

There's not much we can do to help you without some more information here:

  • What exactly did you try to do? I.e., where did you install Python from? What options did you select when you tried to install Python?
  • What was the error message you saw when you tried to install Python? (Please copy-and-paste if possible rather than sharing a screenshot)
  • What do you mean when you say you "can't reset your PC"? You tried to restart, but you now can't, when you could before?
  • What version of Windows are you running?

You should also have log files in your %TEMP% directory (open Windows Explorer and just type %TEMP% into the address bar to see it). The most recent set of "Python" files would be very helpful.
