Shalom Zuckerman came up with the idea to enable animated drawings, which would make it possible to express actions accurately.
A simple approach would be to show the animation once, as an animated SVG (or GIF), and then offer the final frame for coloring.
A nicer approach would be to allow arbitrary pause and playback, with coloring possible at any point and colorings retained accross the animation. The feasibility of this variant crucially depends on how SVG is/can be animated; if areas can morph between animation frames while keeping their identity, then it should be doable.
